Prithibhaya-Vedantsara Foundation With GDC Gool for Student Internship Programme.

Government Degree College (GDC) Gool, Ramban on Sunday signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Prithibhaya-Vedantsara Foundation, a registered non-governmental organi-sation working in the fields of community development, experiential learning and skill empowerment.

The MoU was signed at the College Residence to facilitate structured intern-ship opportunities for stu-dents in coordination with the college.

The agreement was for-mally signed by Dr. Narinder Kumar, Principal, GDC Gool, and Bharat Makotra, Founder, Director and CEO of Prithibhaya-Vedantsara Foundation. The event was attended by Mohd Idrees from the Department of Political Science, Dr. Imtiaz Wani, Pinki Devi Co-Founder/Director & C.O.O, Sunil Kumar President, faculty members, staff and students of the college.

The collaboration aims to provide students with practical learning experiences through internship programmes aligned with their academie disciplines. Under the initiative, students will participate in community-based projeets, skill devel-opment activities, leader-ship programmes, environ-mental initiatives, gover-nance studies, media com-munication and disaster management programmes.Students successfully completing the internships will be eligible for academic credits and certificates.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Narinder Kumar higlighted the importance of experiential learning in higher education and said the partnership would help bridge the gap between classroom teaching and practical exposure.
Representatives of the Foundation also reiterated their commitment towards youth empowerment through mentorship, com-munity engagement and skill-based training programmes.
The MoU reflects the shared vision of both institutions to promote quality education, community participation and student employability in line with the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and skill oriented higher education initiatives.
The agreement remain effective for three years and is expected to ereate meaningful opportunities for students to gain professional exposure while contributing to social development.
The programme conclud-ed with an interaction ses-sion between faculty mem-bers, Foundation represen-tatives and students, fol-lowed by a vote of thanks.
