The Prithibhaya-Vedantsara Foundation in association with the Department of Social Work, Central University of Jammu, successfully organized a seminar on “Mental Health and Suicide Prevention” to promote awareness about emotional well-being and to encourage open dialogue on mental health challenges among youth.
The session was graced by Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Vice Chancellor, CU Jammu, as the Patron of the event, and Dr. Romesh Kumar, HOD DIET Jammu, as the Keynote Speaker. Their insights emphasized the importance of mental resilience, early intervention, and community-based support mechanisms for suicide prevention.
To promote mental health literacy among students and educators.
To discuss preventive strategies for suicide and stress-related disorders.
To engage youth in building a compassionate and supportive academic environment.
Participation & Recognition
The seminar witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 100 attendees, including students, faculty, and social work professionals.
A total of 80+ Certificates of Participation were distributed to attendees in recognition of their active involvement.
Best paper presentations were also awarded under the “Best Paper Awards” category to encourage academic excellence.

Prithibhaya–Vedantsara Foundation, in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS) units of PSPS Government College for Women (GCW), Gandhinagar, successfully organized a seminar on the theme “Youth as Catalyst of Social Change.”
The event was conducted at 10:15 a.m. in the Smart Room of the college and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and NSS volunteers. The seminar aimed to encourage youth to actively participate in societal development and become responsible agents of positive transformation.
The main objectives of the programme were:
To inspire youth towards social responsibility
To promote leadership and ethical values among students
To encourage participation in community development initiatives
To create awareness about the role of youth in nation-building
To provide a platform for discussion on contemporary social issues
